Partners and stakeholders of all three projects included in the ADRION sub-cluster 3.1: CCI4TOURISM, EMOUNDERGROUNDS and CREATURES signed a Memorandum of Understanding among public and private actors of the cultural and creative sector in ADRIATIC IONIAN. Through the signature of this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Members formalise the successful constitution of the “ADRION Observatory for Culture and Tourism sectors”.

The Observatory is established based on the experiences and the best practices gained by the 3 projects. It represents a baseline for improved actions to be jointly developed beyond projects’ duration on the basis of the territorial needs.

The Observatory is composed by the projects partners, private actors operating in cultural and tourism sector and public authorities. The adhesion of the public authorities to the Newtork will ensure the proposed actions will be included in national, regional or local policies.

The general objectives of the ADRION Observatory are consistent with essential aims of ADRION sub-cluster strategy which are to support the creation of added value for the projects and the Programme by increasing synergies between projects; to help the development of thematic analysis and the identification of new areas/fields of intervention to be funded for the future Programming period and to help increase the promotion of the projects in a more strategic way.

Relying on these principles, the ADRION Observatory will ensure the transferability of ADRION sub-cluster 3.1 projects’ results and it will be aimed:

  • to strengthen the cooperation among partners beyond projects’ duration and with further organizations on a long-term basis;
  • to support the diversification of the tourism offer encouraging new services and innovative tourism products able to increase the attractiveness of the involved territories, creating new economic opportunities addressing the seasonality of touristic flows;
  • to foster digital skills and innovation as crucial elements in developing new ideas and common initiatives in the sustainable tourism sector;
  • to affect cross-cutting issues such as social and cultural inclusion as well sustainable development in terms of low environmental impact of tourism.

The ADRION Observatory can promote any kind of new organization and cooperation between members and any kind of collaboration with other networks in complementary fields and territories.

Memorandum of Understanding
